If you'd like to join us making original, inspired music and help us portray members of our military community as the incredible people that they are, now is your chance to join the OE family. We are actively looking for our next group of talented active duty, veteran and military spouse singer/songwriters who have a good story, are willing to put in the effort, and are genuinely great people that are fun to be around.
For your submission, we'll ask you to tell us a little bit about yourself, upload some media and provide some samples of your music...it's that simple. A rough recording is all we need for your music, but try to submit the best recordings you have available. Video links of performances, either recorded at home or live in front of an audience are preferred. Don't worry, we'll evaluate the recording on the quality of the talent, not the quality of the recording. We are looking for your original music, not covers. Videos that show you performing solo, playing an original song using the instrument of your choice, can often help highlight your true talent better than a highly produced number with a full band. SO PLEASE NOTE, OUR SELECTION COMMITTEE HIGHLY VALUES VIDEOS OF YOU PERFORMING SOLO AND SINGING YOUR ORIGINAL SONGS.
Our mission is to help singer/songwriters from our military community with their professional music careers. That means they must be able to write their own songs, play them live in front of an audience, make a human connection and receive compensation for their work. AS SUCH, PER OUR POLICY, WE DO NOT SUPPORT AI DERIVED MUSIC, LYRICS OR PERFORMANCES. We want you to be the message, not a language model. Also, please note that we are not a music therapy organization. While music therapy can be powerful and help veterans recover from the trauma of war, that is not our mission. We are looking for artists with professional aspirations. There are a number of other great organizations that work in the music therapy field and we would be happy to provide you with information on them.
Once we receive your application, we will review it and contact you to schedule an interview if we think you'd be a good fit for Operation Encore. Expect requests for interviews to go out in early June, 2027. Please note, if you are scheduled for an interview, you'll be asked to verify your status as an active duty/Guard/Reserve member, veteran or military spouse. ALSO, PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR SELECTION PROCESS IS HIGHLY COMPETITIVE. Over the past few cycles, we have been receiving over 40 applications per year and can only accommodate 2-4 new members from each group.
If you are selected to join Operation Encore, you will be asked to provide additional material (pics, other music, a well-written bio, any cover art) that can be used to create your own electronic press kit (EPK). Check out the EPK or our artist page for great examples.

All genres are welcome, but realize a lot of our events will not have a backing band--you'll have to be able to stand on your own.
ALSO NOTE, AS AN ORGANIZATION WE DON'T RETAIN RIGHTS TO ANY CONTENT PRODUCED BY OUR ARTISTS. It's all owned by our artists and that applies to any original content you submit as part of your application. Operation Encore will not use any of your music without your consent.
